2011 Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings

I love the NFL draft because it creates some clarity for team depth charts and most importantly brings new talent into the league.  This year, thanks to the lockout, the draft takes on more importance than any other over the past 24 years I've been following the draft, because there's been no free agency or trades, thus resulting in NFL teams applying need based selections more than I can remember in past drafts.  

Sidney Rice for Roy Williams & Zach Miller

A relatively big playoff move trade was completed early by the Naughty Thoughts, and BINGO has officially thrown in the towel with this deal.  

Donovan McNabb, Thomas Jones, Marques Colston for Jahvid Best

Team Kitty and the Los Frijoles Pintos completed the first 2010 in season blockbuster.  

Vernon Davis for Hakeem Nicks & Greg Olsen

This was a trade that happened the night before the '10 auction but wanted it to be documented here, especially given how often PAFFL owners complain that IMT doesn't listen to or complete trades with teams. 

NFL Rookie Projections 2010

All NFL teams have started camp (or will have by the end of today), with most NFL rosters nearly final (sans injury replacements), its time to look at the top rookies for the dynasty/keeper, deep league of the PAFFL.  Remember these are NOT necessarily the rookies who will put up the best numbers in 2010 but over the next two to four years will be the most valuable.  Also the $ amount refers to a 16 team league with $500 yearly salary cap with the projected selecting PAFFL team.

Below is the list of top fantasy football rookies, in order of their projected selection in the PAFFL league (which is a auction based, dynasty format).   This projection was done at the bottom of the 6th round of the 2010 NFL draft, trades or strong minicamp performances (and obviously injuries), will impact this over the coming months.
