Randy Moss & Edgerrin James for Steven Jackson

The Fightin' Irie and South Whore Jibbers consummated easily the largest deal of the 2007 season this evening. 

The Irie dealt WR Randy Moss, RB Edgerrin James and their 2008 Topper/Holdover to the South Whore Jibbers for RB Steven Jackson ($55, 2007), $2 in '08 cash and $2 for every South Whore playoff victory in '07 in '08 cash.

Steven Jackson & TO for Marc Bulger, Lee Evans & Michel Turner...

South Whore Jibbers and East Bay Funk announced a seven player trade this morning. 

South Whore Jibbers deal WR Lee Evans ($21, 2008), RB Michael Turner ($1, 2008), QB Marc Bulger ($55, 2009*), the rights to QB Gus Frerotte and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick ($1, 2008) to East Bay Funk for RB Stephen Jackson ($55, 2007) & the rights to WR Terrell Owens

RB Brian Leonard, #52 Overall Pick, St. Louis Rams

St. Louis Rams selected Rutgers RB Brian Leonard with the #52 overall selection (#20 in the 2nd round) in the 2007 NFL draft. Leonard is a versatile back who can play tailback, fullback, run the ball from a single set or catch the ball out of the backfield.  He will likely be used as a versatile fullback and backup to Stephen Jackson with the Rams.

Daunte Hall dealt to the Rams

ESPN reports the Kansas City Chiefs have traded WR/KR Dante Hall to the St. Louis Rams for the Rams' fifth-round pick in 2007 NFL Draft.  The Kansas City Star adds the teams also swapped picks in the third round. The Chiefs will move up two spots in the round.  Hall is a very productive special teams player but is only a slot receiver at best from the line of scrimmage.

Randy McMichael gets $11 million from St. Louis Rams

ESPN reported that recently released former Miami Dolphins TE Randy McMichael signed a three year agreement for approximately $11 million with a $3 million signing bonus.  McMichael was a fourth-round choice in the 2002 draft, he has 282 career catches for 3,096 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career. He is also durable, as evidenced by the fact he has never missed a game in his career, appearing in 80 straight contests, all as a starter.

Kevin Curtis gets $32 million from the Eagles

NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports the Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement with former St. Louis free agent WR Kevin Curtis on a six-year, $32 million deal that includes $9.5 million in guaranteed money. The Titans and Vikings made strong pushes for Curtis at the end, but he opted for the Eagles.  "Kevin's a guy that we've liked all along," Eagles general manager Tom Heckert said. "He's got great speed and run-after-the-catch ability. Kevin's a calm, smart guy that just goes out and plays football. He definitely brings tremendous speed to our team."

WR Drew Bennett signs with Rams

ESPN reports the St. Louis Rams filled the void for the potential loss of WR Kevin Curtis by signing WR Drew Bennett to a six-year, $30 million contract that including a $10 million in guarantees. Between bonuses and base salary, Bennett will pocket $9.5 million in 2007. He will earn $13 million in the first two years of the contract and $21 million over the first four seasons of the deal.   Bennett likely will start in place of veteran Isaac Bruce who will move into the slot for the Rams.

Marshall Faulk's Career Maybe Over...

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch  & ESPN reports Rams RB Marshall Faulk, 33, will reportedly undergo knee surgery next week, which most likely means he will miss the 2006 season. Faulk has had surgery on both knees this year, and one hasn't responded. He is able to run straight ahead but suffers swelling after he tries to make cuts.
