Shaun Alexander for Jacoby Jones & performance bonuses

The Pomona Stoned Hens and Salem Beavercats consummate a trade deadline deal. 

The Pomona Stoned Hens receive RB Shaun Alexander from Salem Beavercats for WR Jacoby Jones ($7, 2009) and performance bonuses.

The performance bonus is more of a clause - for every game Alexander doesn't start his nfl game, Pomona receives $1 from the Beavercats. However for every game Alexander plays, the Beavercats receive $2 for every 5 paffl point interval he scores.  The maximum Pomona can receive is $5 and the maximum the Beavercats can receive is $10.  So each party is protected against the extreme ends of Alexander's potential performance the rest of the season.

Shaun Alexander, RB, SEA for Marques Colston, WR, NO ($35, 2009)

The Salem Beavercats send WR Marques Colston ($35, 2009) to The Jack Trippers for RB Shaun Alexander and the removal of the rookie pick protection from the Chris Chambers deal earlier this season (picks 1-2 were protected in that deal, now the Beavercats have the opportunity to grab the number 1 or 2 if the Trippers repeat on their rookie playoff prominence of the past.  Darren McFadden could be the next Adrian Peterson).

NFL QB Team by Team Analysis

NFL.com's Michael Fabiano analyzed all 32 NFL team's Quarterback position for fantasy production.  He didn't go into as much detail as some may like but for the majority (AKA no keeper leagues) of fantasy leaguers it'll be a good overview by team.

Darrell Jackson traded to the SF 49'ers

ESPN is reporting that Seattle Seahawks WR Darrell Jackson boarded a plane from Florida to San Francisco early this morning to take a physical to complete a trade with the San Francisco 49'ers for a 4th round selection in this year's draft.  the trade has been completed, providing the 49'ers with an experienced featured receiver. 

'Hawks Wallace signs contract extension

The Seattle Seahawks announced a one year extension for backup quarterback, turned recent starter, Seneca Wallace today.  The extension is essentially a 1 year deal for $1.5MM which includes a $800k roster bonus next August and $700k base salary in 2007.  Wallace has played well filling in for starter Matt Hasselback and appears to be cashing in with a mid-level backup salary deal for one season. 
Wallace would have been a free agent after the season had he not signed this one year extension.

Deion Branch a Seahawk...

The Seattle Seahawks acquired WR Deion Branch from the New England Patriots for a 1st round selection in 2007.  Seattle will sign Branch to a reported 6 year $39 million contract with $13 million in guarantees and $23 million over the first 3 seasons. 

This is a relatively big NFL trade during the season, a rarity, in particular for a player of Branch's caliber.
