Post Week 2 Sunday Thoughts...

Below are some random thoughts following week 2 (sans MNF game).  It's been an incredible aerial attack to kick off the 2011 NFL season, I can't imagine this pace will continue. 

The Rich (Eagles) Get Richer

Are any of the other 31 NFL teams actually in the market to improve their squads this offseason?  Thanks to the lockout there feels like only a handful of teams are active, and the winners of this abbreviated offseason goes easily to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cedric Benson for DeSean Jackson & stuff...

Even though the NFL is locked out, PAFFL roster matriculation continues with a nice offseason trade.  

Randy Moss & David Garrard for LeSean McCoy

Chaulk this deal up to one that only happens in the dynasty league, deep format fantasy world.  But even in that world where the PAFFL lives, this is a pretty one sided one. 

Chris Johnson & Calvin Johnson for DeSean Jackson, Tashard Choice, Michael Bush & Rookie Pick

This is most certainly a blockbuster, you have arguably the most talented RB & WR in the NFL being dealt for a collection of talented but slightly flawed players in a major changing of each of these team's rosters. 

PAFFL's Future Leadership

An underlying league conversation this past year has been who is going to be the next PAFFL commissioner.  At the auction we voted and agreed that the South Whore Jibbers would be the next commissioner.  Since then there has been some good arguments that we should have an open discussion about this and agree to a measured, or phased, transition to new leadership.

I wanted to highlight a handful of players who are outperforming their expected pre-season performance. 

Top Rookies for '09

It's a quick look as the NFL Draft's first day starts to wind down on who the top fantasy rookies will be, specifically for the PAFFL (where long-term success is just as important as short term).  I'll update this as the 3rd round is completed but at this point here are the top guys based on talent & situation. 

NFL All Rookie Fantasy Team for '08

With the vast majority of Fantasy Football leagues finished and the NFL season nearly concluded, here are the top '08 rookies and guys to look for in 2009. 

Donovan McNabb for Matt Hasselbeck & Roddy White

The LFP and BINGO completed a pretty big deal, well actually it would be bigger if it were 2006 but its still newsworthy.
