The biggest deal in terms of assets exchanging hands was a result of another blockbuster completed earlier in the day. BINGO picked up QB Eli Manning, RB Steven Jackson & WR Hakeem Nicks from Team Kitty for QB Geno Smith ($55, '16), reduction in future swapping of rookie picks & TE Fred Davis.
I like this deal for both teams, Team Kitty saw that while still technically in the playoff picture, the odds were heavily against them to maintain their early success and their core is made up of one year contracts to veteran players. So they packaged them up to get a potential franchise quarterback to build around. BINGO on the otherhand decided this is/was the year to go for it now (plus with several rookie picks they are in the mix to potentially get Teddy Bridgewater in the rookie draft). So overall this is a solid deal for both teams.
A subtle but important value exchange here is also the forgiving of the future rookie pick swap Team Kitty had previously dealt to BINGO, which gives them access to their pick in a future year w/o the threat of losing it.
