This was a back door salary dump, a classic trade move that on paper may look equitable but in the long run will be very one sided. Monkey Fust acquires WR Aaron Dobson ($17, '15) and QB Brandon Weeden ($55, '15) from Short Bus for WR Larry Fitzgerald.
Weeden will require a cut, so instead of Monkey Fust dealing that cut for $20 next year, they'll be using it on Weeden, so that's $20 in value right there. So is Dobson at three years at $17 worth giving up half a year Larry Fitzgerald and $20? If I hadn't seen Dobson lead the NFL in blatant drops (he's actually behind his teammate Kenbrell Thompkins) I could try to argue yes but I have so I won't.
