Great final roster cutdown deal between the Isotopes & Engel Shiz last night. These are the types of deals that change momentum and season projections, so major kudos for both parties to having the balls to make a major deal happen.
Analysis: I'm a believer that he who gets the best player typically wins the trade unless the other side gets a player of similar value and other tangible assets. In this case though I see Romo as the most valuable player (think open auction value; McCoy is $100 vs. Romo at $120) and picking up Woodhead and Powell is a coup since both are below average flex / spot starters. However McCoy does have another year on his contract so there's value there and net-net, Engel Shiz upgrades its starting lineup (though at the expense of depth) while the Isotopes massively upgrade their starting lineup and go from a team likely in the quest for Teddy Bridgewater, to one that has legitimate playoff aspirations in a watered down division.
So net net, good trade for both teams, I like it better this year for Isotopes but Engel Shiz likely wins the long-term value so long as McCoy remains a top 10 fantasy back next year.
