The PAFFL is more than twenty-five years old, and in its silver anniversary year, the PA Short Bus took the Jankster Cup, its third title (and second in 4 years) in its history.
Huge kudos to the Short Bus for continually building a strong roster which results in title contention year after year, and led to this championship. Some despise the 'Bus for their approach but its not rocket science, they draft for value, consistently push for trades that benefit them and spend big money on positions of need (e.g. Philip Rivers this year). It's a formula more organizations should follow to success.
Thanks for the kind words. As Team Kitty said prior to the season, Alfred Morris will make or break my team this season. Solid play from Ponder earlier in the season helped. Our biggest struggle was the lack of a WR2 to partner with Decker. LaFell and D. Moore filled in but couldn't be counted on unfortunately.
Many of my teams in the past have relied on solid WR play. This year, PASB spent a majority of it's $$$ on QBs (Rivers $125ish, Kappie/Weeden/Ponder all $55ish) in hopes that two of them would pan out. In hindsight, Rivers was a "mistake" but turned out ok given the result.
Overall, it was a fun season. And yes, Salem and PASB are both set up nicely for 2013.
