This is most certainly a blockbuster, you have arguably the most talented RB & WR in the NFL being dealt for a collection of talented but slightly flawed players in a major changing of each of these team's rosters.
The Jack Trippers acquire $15 in '10 cap room, RB Chris Johnson ($58, '10) & WR Calvin Johnson ($44, '09) from the Freekmont Show for RB Tashard Choice ($8, '10) & RB Michael Bush ($11, '11), WR DeSean Jackon ($12, '10) & the #2 overall rookie pick in '10.
Summary: Chris Johnson is a super star who is locked up for another 4 years so it is difficult to not say the Jack Trippers got the better end of this deal. That said the Show will come away stronger if Choice or Bush develop into a top 20 fantasy back, D. Jackson stays at the top of the WR production heap and they find a strong performer at the #2 spot in the rookie draft. I personally think you win & lose with studs, so the early victor in this deal is certainly the Trippers but the Show always has a well thought out plan and this deal surely fits into their scheme to corner the market on sub $15 talents.
One final note, this marks the first major off-season blockbuster in PAFFL history. We've had as big of deals consummated in May-July but that's more of the training season, this is the first in February-April of this magnitude, so kudos to those working on this.
I'm curious to hear other folks thoughts on this deal?
im sorry for all the shit ive talked about trades in the past.

No worries, its part of the fun...just needs to remain non personal or stuff gets out of control (as we both know :). Interesting deal for you, I'm excited to see how this plays out over the next year or two.

I think this trade confirms that a new era has begun in the PAFFL. For the first time in memory, multiple deals were discussed/consumated in season but post deadline. Also, there has been a historical lull in trade discussions after the Jankster Cup, but this year talks have not only not died down, I think they've picked up. RJFC/FFC and TK discuss deals at least once a day. Bingo and TK have already completed a post-season deal and the Super Bowl party at Wetzel's consisted of 5% watching of the game and 95% deal discussions/tequila shots on the back patio amongst the seven owners who were present.
BTW, I have a new cell number: 206-650-8064. I wish Vic had known this prior to trading CJ and CJ. They might be on my team, instead.
