The Jack Trippers liquidated their one year players for a couple of prospects as they retool for 2010.
The Jack Trippers trade WR Donald Driver, RB Thomas Jones and WR Hines Ward to South Whore Jibbers for RB Tashard Choice ($8, '10) and RB James Davis ($15, '11).
While these players did not get the Jibbers to the playoffs (we missed out by 1 game), I still am happy with this trade. It helped the Jibbers secure the 5th pick in the 2010 rookie draft and all these players were high quality for the stretch run. Plus I think that I gave the Trippers got some quality in return with Tashard Choice (a starting quality RB who who start if traded out of Dallas) and Jame Davis (could split carries with Harrison similar to his Clemson days with Spiller). A solid example of a win-win deal.

I agree with the Jibs. If you're a game out of the playoffs (where anything can happen), trading for key vets can help out greatly for the rookie playoffs... and did trading these key Vets really help the Trippers enough to accept their slide in the rookie draft themselves.

This trade is a great example how a very good fantasy WR can be had for virtually nothing at the trade deadline from teams that are out of it.
