Below is a list of the key dates for the PAFFL '09 season, starting with the auction (end of July) thru the trade deadline in November.
Auction Weekend
Thursday, July 30th
• 7PM - BBQ @ Jack Trippers pad in Aptos area (details to follow later)
Friday, July 31st
• 8:30 PM – League Discussions
o League Changes / review of new rules & discussion of potential new ones
• 9 PM - Rookie Draft
• The draft will begin promptly at nine with all unconditional cuts
due prior to the start of the draft. All unconditional cuts must be
submitted to me by 9 PM on Friday night, or you will forfeit the cut.
Saturday, August 1st
o 11 AM – Auction Festivities
o Introduction to ’09 season
o Determine Auction Order
• 11:30 AM – Auction Commencement
o NOTE: If you, or your representative, is not at the auction by
11:30 AM Saturday (for the auction) then your team will be selected by
a party at the auction and your team will be subject for re-assignment
due to neglect.
Roster Selection & Start of NFL Season
Wednesday, September 9th
• PAFFL Roster Cutdown & 3-year Designation Deadline – Final
rosters must be submitted to league website & commissioner by 9 PM
PST
Thursday, September 10th
• NFL regular season opener – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans
Wednesday, November 18th
• PAFFL Trade Deadline – deals must be completed by 9PM PST to be official for ’09 PAFFL season
Thursday, December 24th
• PAFFL Contract Settlement & Final Free Agent pickup date.
