Team Kitty continues to acquire talent at the quarterback position in the hope that some will end up as fantasy contributors in '09.
Team Kitty acquires QB Brett Favre ($50, '10), QB Brian Brohm ($24, '11) & an unconditional cut from the South Whore Jibbers for nothing (they're dropping salary).
Analysis: This is a solid risk / reward deal for Team Kitty. If Favre returns for '09, he'll be a solid fantasy QB2 with upside and Kitty can either use the cut to eliminate another salary on their roster or deal it for a '10 cut to wipe Favre's salary out then. Brohm is the wildcard, wildly considered a first round talent in college, he stuttered during his senior season and fell to the middle of the second round. Then he was beat out by fellow 7th round selection, Mike Flynn, for the primary backup job. However a year in and with good talent, Brohm could still end up starting games in the NFL and he's at a palatable salary.
Assuming we don't hear anything by thurs, I can't wait to see how often weave checks the net to see if favre has made his announcement...I expect some high-octane antics if he announces his comeback while we are in Monterrey
