South Whore JIbbers and En Fuego completed a small trade deadline deal.
South Whore Jibbers, or as the Jibbers are calling themselves these days, Jib Nation, acquired K Rob Bironas ($1, 2008) and an '09 cut from En Fuego for TE Kevin Boss ($1, 2010), $7 in '09 cash and 'future considerations'.
Here is the commentary from the Jib Nation:
Factored into the $7 of 2009 cash is $2 that I owed the Firefighters in a deal earlier this year. Under league rules I wasn't required to give this money to En Fuego but the Jibbers wanted to honor there final trade with PAFF.
For clarification: Any future value dealt to or owed to a new franchise doesn't terminate, the league rule is just that any new owner can, at its own discretion, decide to honor it or not.
Thus any existing owner can't decide to simply not pay out a liability to a new franchise owner, but its dependent on them being aware & collecting any debt they are owed or honoring any liability the previous owner committed to.
