I love the PAFFL because there are personalities like Team Kitty who love to throw spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks, and they have no shame or humility in laying it all out there. Today he had the idea to parody his team's ridiculous 2004 success (highest scoring team in PAFFL history) into a clothing brand.
Here is the message Team Kitty sent out to everybody:
I'm thinking of starting a website that sells merchandise dedicated to the 2004 Team Kitty squad (t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, shoes, socks, pajamas, hats, cups, shot glasses, etc.). Before I sink everything I own into this new venture, I need the league's honest opinion. How much do you estimate annual revenues will be? 20 million? 50 million? More than 100 million? I just want to make sure I don't get too far ahead of myself before leasing vacation houses, yachts, private jet, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, I understand that Team Kitty is a part of the PAFFL, and although no licensing or collective bargaining agreements have ever been inked, I do intend to pay the PAFFL royalties for the appropriation of one of its entities.
The funny thing is Kitty could do this using CafePress or Zazzle or Threadless without much effort or cost.

Another thinly veiled motif in this post is Team Kitty's inability to let go of past glory while his squad stumbles through the quagmire of the present.
Perhaps TK's owner should stop sleeping in a 1993 Palo Alto Basketball shirt next to a 22 year-old '08 college graduate.

The Jack Trippers clothing line - Pink and Green, INC. - has done quite well, seeing some nice revenue gains after the fabled jankster cup runner-up run in 2000. We have high hopes for the 10-year anniversary edition, which will include some new tankini designs and some onesies for the little guys//gals. The anniversary edition is due to be on sale by August 2010 - paffl.com will have more details in the coming months/year(s).
