Team Kitty and Los Frijoles Pintos consummate a classic today's value for tomorrow's value deal.
Team Kitty trades QB Damon Huard to Los Frijoles Pintos for QB Kevin Kolb ($18, 2010).
Team Kitty's analysis:
"This deal makes sense for both sides as LFP needs a starting qb this weekend and qb depth going forward. Team Kitty clearly needs building blocks for the future. While McNabb is experiencing a resurgence at qb, the Eagles are high on Kolb and he should be a starter down the road."
I like this deal for both teams. Huard has little long term value on a team that appears to be playing for 2010 and lacks sufficient NFL quality starters at three of their offensive line spots and their number two thru five receiver spots. Kolb on the other hand will eventually be an NFL starter, however it may take another three years of him sitting & learning before it happens.
I like Kolb (or at leas the ProFootball Prospectus loves him) so this is a calculated gamble.
I love that Team Kitty deals him before I have to Kitty, so my 50+ point spread may stand up. Actually beating the spread is another thing all together...anybody interested in taking the over?

Great deal for Kitty. With Bradshaw and Kolb, Kitty is on the way back! McNabb will be injured and Kolb starting be season end. RJFC stone cold lock.

If Kitty hadn't dealt Huard I would definitely be done this week.
