Tom Brady for Anquan Boldin & JaMarcus Russell

It's nice to see another big deal go down, this time between the incredibly active Fightin' Irie and Ron Jeremy Fanclub

Irie deals WR Anquan Boldin ($55, 2009), TE Chris Cooley ($16, 2009), QB JaMarcus Russell ($55, 2010), $3 in '09 cap space & a DS spot to Ron Jeremy Fanclub for the rights to QB Tom Brady and an '08 Topper/Holdover.

Analysis: This is a good deal for both teams, FI is adding another major gamebreaker (to go along with Stephen Jackson) while Ron Jeremy reloads in a major way and has talent to be competitive immediately, though that hinges on the development of Russell.

I'm not sure I've ever seen this done before, but I think every player in this trade is at exactly market value, except, maybe for Cooley if Zorn makes good on his promise to make him the Skins' No. 1 receiving option.

This trade seems like the ultimate push. If there is a slight edge, it goes to Ron Jeremy, as long as Russell doesn't totally suck.

That is, however, a significant "as long as." Remember, Tyrone hung out with Russell before last year's NFL draft and said he was one of the dumbest people he'd ever encountered. Scary dumb. So I guess there's the possibility that Irie ends up with the edge. But right now, on paper, this is a push. (On a related note, does anyone else feel a little empty that we lost our only black owner, one who actually hung out with NFL players no less?)

Brady at $150 is at/around market value. He'll throw 35-40 TDs, tops, in this his hangover year. I'd rather have LT at $125.

Fair analysis...I particularly agree with the comment regarding 'If Russell'.

Nice work by Irie in upgrading their QB's from Tarvaris Jackson & JaMarcus Russell to Ben Roethlisberger & Tom Brady w/o giving up Michael Turner or Steven Jackson. If they can secure Brady, then the Irie will be in the playoffs this year, especially in a subpar division on paper (thanks to Team Kitty & the Isotopes who are both rebuilding in '08). In fact next to the Short Bus, the Irie is making a play to be a major contender for top team in the AFC this year. Good work...and nice trade for Ron Jeremy too, they still have a top 5 fantasy QB (Romo) and now are strong at WR & TE to go along with Brian Westbrook.

I didn't think RJFC had the cash to get Westie and Brady. Nice call.

this league is all about qb's. Roeth-Brad are only second (argueably) to Mann-Palm. this trade puts The Fightin Irie in bowl contention, and takes RJFC out. just my opinion.

Tom Brady is dating a brazilian -- he will continue to decline!!

    Yes, that was me.

LOL - Lopez, busted. What's with the ghost post?

Brady-Roethlisberger was far better last year than Palmer-Manning, and I suspect will be so again this year (simply b/c Palmer is more rep than production on a team that dragging him down) and Roethliberger maybe forced to make plays w/ one of the shittier offensive lines in football (funny how fantasy league magazines are so high on Parker & Mendenhall when their offensive line is in bad shape!).

The Short Bus will disappoint this year. I can feel it. They might not even make the playoffs.
