BINGO, which is fast becoming the new Team Kitty, dealt their #2 overall rookie pick to Los Frijoles Pintos today in a relatively big deal.
BINGO receives RB Reggie Bush ($55, 2008), $5 in 2009 cap space and a 2008 DS spot from Los Frijoles Pintos for their 2008 (#2 overall) Rookie Pick. This trade likely ensures that Carolina Panthers 1st round selection, RB Jonathan Stewart, will be taken #2 and sets up the #3 pick to be QB Matt Ryan to IMT.
The moral of this trade is that when BINGO speaks (as he did yesterday in asking for offers for the #2 overall pick) you better listen and respond if you want to be part of the action. Nice work by BINGO in establishing a core group of quality starters from little to start from.
I heard about this trade before it went down... I think TC would have accepted the deal straight up, Bush for the 2. Getting a DS spot and some cash is nice.
I think it's a decent deal for both teams. I'd rather have Reggie myself...

Bingo was his name, yo! Call him Kool Moe Doe cause he goes to WORK. . . Just dated myself badly with that one.
Anyway, I like the deal for both sides. The jury will be out on this one for quite a while (barring injury in 08). Reggie Bush showed tons of promise in the second half of 06, then disappointed last year. His fantasy production reminds me more of a lower top tier wr than anything else because he'll blow up for huge numbers one week, then he won't be heard from for three straight weeks.
With the Saints on the mend from a disappointing 07 campaign (likely more of a hangover from the surprise of 06), I anticipate a nice rebound for Bush with 800 yards rushing, 700 receiving and 10 total scores (at least 2 from big distance).
On this flip side, Stewart is an unknown with more upside than Bush. He's in an offense that has the potential to produce a 1400 yard 14 td RB, but has recently turned out garbage like DeShaun Foster's numbers over the past three years(D Foster's available for trade).
Given that Stewart has 3 years left at $55 versus Bush's one remaining season $55, I give Tadlock the slight edge on this deal. If both Bush and Stewart were at $55 for this year only, I'd give the nod to Bingo.

Love all the action from Bingo. Impressive. Also love the Pac 10 for Pac 10 deal.
This is a solid trade for both teams. It's higher risk, higher reward for the Pintos, as Stewart is going to be a boom/bust situation. I would take Stewart with the one pick, if I had it.
I actually think Bush is going to have a very strong year and show that he's worth an $80 PAFFL contract next year. Despite his troubles, he's a much more proven commodity than anyone in the rookie draft and plays in an explosive offense.
So, well played, once again, by Bingo, in terms of getting a playoff contending team off the ground in Year 1. We'll see if this trade costs Bingo long term value down the line....
