The Los Frijoles Pintos completed two other deals this afternoon.
The two trades are:
- LFP dealt its 2008 unconditional cut to IMT for $9 in '08 cap space and their next topper/holdover.
- Team Kitty paid LFP $2 for RB Kevin Jones ($26, '09).
LFP also is open to trading the #2 overall rookie pick (Matt Ryan or Jonathan Stewart).
I think they could have got more cash for their cut... but getting $2 for KJ was amazing.
I'd have given a team $10 just to take KJ at that salary.
Essentially, LFP got over $35 for their cut (which they would have used on KJ).
Impressive.

I would also like to point out that Team Kitty has spent close to $200 on players that wouldn't make most teams starting line-ups.
Grossman, $56
D. Foster, $55
KJ, $26
C. Taylor, $55
On a related note, I own their next 1-8 rookie pick. I've been waiting a while for this pick and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a top 4 pick this Off Season.

Actually I'm not sure Grossman, Kevin Jones (what was TK thinking paying $2 to take this contract?) and Foster would make many PAFFL rosters at all. Why he isn't actively looking to acquire cuts is strange...

I'm pretty sure that everyone in the league is well aware that Short Bus owns my next 1-8 rookie pick. I promise you we won't forget if you fail to mention it tomorrow or the next day. Make sure to remind us again by Saturday though because we'll definitely need a refresher by then.

Maybe Team Kitty can pay to take one of IMT's RB contracts and cut one of their bad deals (such as Grossman or Kevin Jones).

Team Kitty has a cut for Foster. . . We acquired it in a trade with Bingo

I guess I'm thinking TK needs one for Kevin Jones & Rex Grossman. Both are signed for more than just this year and neither have much long-term value. If its a rebuilding year (or not for that matter), then those contracts need to be cut (IMO).

Kevin Jones just signed with the Bears and now is at or below market value at $26. Nice move by the Kitty.
Will Forte' still go for $55?

I still think Kevin Jones is overpriced. There's a reason no one signed him. Forte should still be a top 5 pick.

According to recent reports, Kevin Jones will start the season on the PUP. That alone will make Forte worth $55 and the 3rd to 5th pick in our draft.

One last note, its reported with Kevin Jones on the roster, Garrett Wolfe could become the odd man out.
WOW, who would have thought that Wolfe could ever be cut from the Bears.
