Are you guys watching the Warriors? I don't want to jinx them but they're on fire, beating good teams by double digits and winning on the road. Last night's home win vs. Houston got them to 8-7 on the season after an 0-6 start. Clearly Stephen Jackson is the real MVP, they've only lost once since he's returned (7-1) and he seems to be the clue that brings up their defensive intensity and the added offensive force that relieves the other guys of feeling like they have to take over games.
I hate to beat a dead horse but the Indy GM (is it Larry Bird?) should be fired and vilified for taking on two monster contracts of below average NBA starters (Troy Murphy & Mike Dunleavy) for two manageable contracts of above average NBA starters (Stephen Jackson & Al Harrington). More so than any other move, that trade has changed the fortunes of the Golden State Warriors. Without that deal the Warriors are struggling to be anything more than one of the five worst teams in the NBA. With that deal they're looking like a legitimate top 4 seed in the Western Conference.
Now I highly doubt they can beat Utah or San Antonio b/c their respective style of play but they could sneak into the #4 slot if they can consistently beat Houston and win around 50 games. That would put them up against a Houston or Dallas team in the first round, one that they can beat.
But honestly I don't really care, the fact that the Warriors are even relevant again is enough for me. I just don't want this to end, and I'm crossing my fingers they can keep it up. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is the playoffs.

Love the Warriors - this is as entertaining a team as Nellie has ever had. The Suns need to slow it down against us, I am not kidding. No one pushes it as good as the W's. We miss J Rich, but there aren't enough minutes to go around...and B Wright is next year's Montae Ellis (2nd year break out player)...Belineli is going to be decent, too, and he can't even get on the active roster right now. DEEP DEEP team. This is a contender - and I can't wait to see them play the Jazz now that Jacks is back. I don't think there's a team in the conference that wants to play the W's in the playoffs.

The reality is that Diddy is the real MVP of this team. Yes, Jack is a real important piece, but w/o Diddy the warriors are nothing!! I'll repeat that, NOTHING!!!
