ESPN's Scouts Inc. published an analysis of each team's WR core. The top 10 teams are listed for free (no ESPN Insider subscription required). The #1 team, Indianapolis Colts are obvious but there are some strange choices.
The top 10 are:
- Indianapolis Colts - obvious with Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison & Anthony Gonzales
- Arizona Cardinals - strong with Bolding, Fitzgerald & Bryant Johnson
- St. Louis Rams - T. Holt, I. Bruce & D. Bennett
- Cincinnati Bengals - C. Johnson, TJ Housmanzadeh & Chris Henry (when he's not comitting a crime) form a strong trio
- Detroit Lions - Roy Williams & Calvin Johnson maybe the 2nd best tandem (behind Wayne & Harrison)
- New England Patriots - Randy Moss, Stallworth, C. Jackson & W. Welker make it deep
- Denver Broncos - Brandon Marshall is the key...if its only Javon Walker then this ranking is too high IMO
- Dallas Cowboys - Terrell Owens & Terry Glenn are a tough duo but they're also getting old at 34 & 33 respectively
- Baltimore Ravens - what?
- Pittsburgh Steelers - Hines Ward is arguably the most complete football that happens to play WR & S. Holmes looks like a top notch playmaker
