NFL.com's Michael Fabiano did an analysis of the some of the top positional battles between stars at the same position.
Battles include -
Drew Brees vs. Carson Palmer (winner is: Brees)
Tom Brady vs. Marc Bulger (winner is: Brady)
Vince Young vs. Michael Vick (winner is: VYoung)
Stephen Jackson vs. Larry Johnson (winner is SJackson)
Frank Gore vs. Shaun Alexander (winner is Gore)
Anquan Boldin vs. Larry Fitzgerald (winner is Fitzgerald)
I have to say I agree with most but the Boldin vs. Fitzgerald one I think will go the other way. The reason is simply that the new head coach, Ken Whisenhunt, has called Boldin his Hines Ward, and there has been speculation of a rift between Fitzgerald and Whisenhunt. Who knows what will happen but I like when the new HC says one of his receivers will play the Pittsburgh All Pro's roll in Arizona's new offense.
