NFL.com's Michael Fabiano analyzed all 32 NFL team's Quarterback position for fantasy production. He didn't go into as much detail as some may like but for the majority (AKA no keeper leagues) of fantasy leaguers it'll be a good overview by team.
Some of the team's where there is confusion or conjecture on who will be holding the clipboard and who will be shocking the fantasy world are listed below. Unlike previous years though, none of the available options are worth a fantasy look except in the deepest of fantasy leagues.
- Jacksonville Jaguars - they claim Leftwich is the undisputed starter but its unclear he has the temperament or talent to be a successful starter; they may turn to Garrard and/or Gray.
- Cleveland Browns - Frye likely will start the season but this is Quinn's team long-term.
- Oakland Raiders - They should start McCown, who is more talented than most realize, b/c they should allow Russell time to mature & learn from the sidelines.
- Kansas City Chiefs - Croyle looks to be the starter here but KC has the appearance of a team on the decline, particularly on offense and its doubtful he'll finish in the top 25 of fantasy QB's in '07.
- Minnesota Vikings - The Vikings are convinced Tavaris Jackson is the future by passing on all veteran options and Brady Quinn in the draft. Minnesota has a great offensive line and running backs, but they lack receivers and Jackson will struggle regardless - so don't waste your time on him unless you're in a deep keeper league and can wait until '08 at best.
