Miami Dolphins selected Florida State RB Lorenzo Booker with the #71 overall selection (#7 in the 3rd round) in the 2007 NFL draft. Booker, one of the great all-time high school players in California, is a 3rd down type of back who can catch and make big plays but may never have the size to be an every down back.
Scouting Report:
- Position: Running Back
- Height: 5'10"
- Weight: 193
- 40 Time: 4.42
Lorenzo Booker is small but fast, shifty with the ability to take the ball the distance on any play. He is a good receiver and will immediately be an addition to the passing game out of the backfield but he lacks the size to be a between the tackles type of back. In addition he has had durability questions which further cloud coaches confidence in relying on him too much.
Fantasy Prognosis:
Booker will back up starter Ronnie Brown in 2007 and likely won't see more than a half dozen carries per week and time on the return units. Fantasy leaguers should only draft him as insurance to Ronnie Brown in deep leagues. For keeper leaguers, Booker has upside if he can add bulk and show the ability to gain tough yards but given his size & situation (backing up the young Brown), don't expect much from Booker in the near term.
2007 Predicted Numbers:
Touches: 60 carries, 10 catches
Total Yards: 200
TD's: 1 TD

The owners’ objection to Limbaugh wasn’ t based on his politics– they overwhelmingly share his views. They refused to allow him to join their club in the name of good business. Consider that over the last 20 years, 78 percent of the approximately 7 million that NFL owners, coaches, players, and their associates have donated to political candidates and committees has gone to Republicans. That’ ...
