Miami Dolphins selected Ohio State WR Ted Ginn Jr. with the #9 overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft. Ginn is a dynamic, home run hitter WR and kick returner who adds speed and big play ability to the Dolphins.
Scouting Report:
- Position: Wide Receiver
- Height: 6'
- Weight: 190
- 40 Time: 4.42
Ted Ginn is a nudge below six feet with a skinny frame but sprinter speed. He can stretch the field and create mismatches with his speed & play making ability. However he isn't dominant physically, think Terry Glenn like quick & fast. Plus he's been injury prone the last few seasons. At the very least Ginn brings a home run threat to his team and should at the very least be a good complementary starting NFL receiver and a dynamic return man.
Fantasy Prognosis:
The Dolphins have Chris Chambers at receiver today so Ginn will only be expected to stretch the field, play from the slot and contribute on special teams in 2007. Ginn won't start immediately this season as a fantasy starter but he has potential to contribute during bye weeks but he's an above average keeper choice as Ginn could develop into the Dolphins home run threat, go-to fantasy receiver.
2007 Predicted Numbers:
Touches: 28 catches
Total Yards: 420 Yards
TD's: 2 receiving, 1 return
