Kansas City Chiefs have selected LSU WR Dwayne Bowe with the #23
overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft. Bowe is a large, physical receiver with good game speed and no glaring weaknesses. However it will take him a year to get acclimated to the NFL game and the Chiefs time to recognize Bowe's talent.
Scouting Report:
- Position: Wide Receiver
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 217
- 40 Time: 4.55
Dwayne Bowe is a physical guy who has good hands and take it to the house game speed & moves. However he played in a system with talent across the board which made have made Bowe seem more impressive than he really is. On tape he looks like a featured receiver but he never dominanted in the SEC as you would expect playing the the #1 overall NFL pick JaMarcus Russell.
Fantasy Prognosis: Bowe will enter camp with the potential to start for Kansas City and make an impact in 2007 as the complementary option to Tony Gonzales. He won't be any better than a fantasy reserve in 2007 but he is a young player on the oldest team in the NFL with potential to be a #1 fantasy type receiver in the years ahead.
2007 Predicted Numbers:
Touches: 22 catches
Total Yards: 285
TD's: 1 TD's
