San Diego Chargers selected LSU WR Craig Davis with the #30 overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft. Davis has tremendous upside but is a slightly raw prospect who will need time to develop.
Scouting Report:
- Position: Wide Receiver
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 207
- 40 Time: 4.49
Craig Davis has natural ability, he is quick to reach top speed, has a second gear to beat defenders deep and has shown flashes of play making ability in the open field. However Davis is still raw and needs time to develop as a route runner and run blocker on the edge. His size and natural ability make him an intriguing prospect but he was a reach at the end of the 1st round with more pro ready WR's left on the board and a need for production right away.
Fantasy Prognosis: Davis will likely be the Chargers slot receiver and special teams contributor in 2007. So he maybe a fantasy producer but its a long shot, so expect nothing more than a fantasy reserve with keeper league potential down the road in 2008 or more likely 2009.
2007 Predicted Numbers:
Touches: 22 catches
Total Yards: 285 Yards
TD's: 2 TD's
